Be the Change!
Florida International University houses many programs with main goal of getting students involved in innovation, entrepreneurship and changemaking. Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SI&E) is a strategic initiative to serve as an umbrella for all such programs and provide our community with access to everything that is being offered at FIU for them to “be the change that they wish to see in the world.” As a Worlds Ahead university, FIU’s objective is to empower students and all university stakeholders to be changemakers, firmly embed changemaking into its culture and operations, and work to address both local and global challenges.
FIU SI&E is leading the movement of thousands of students, faculty, staff and administrators to bring the skills of changemaking to their education, research, work, and communities worldwide. As a member of Ashoka U, we are part of a network of 40+ diverse institutions that are re-envisioning the role of higher education and the universities in society at the systems level.
